I am sorry my European friends that I have to stop selling books to Europe because of the changes caused by Brexit.
Gone are the days of taking an order and simply posting the book to you.
Bozo the Clown as our PM is known these days, has imposed a whole load of regulatory barriers. I may have to register for VAT in Europe or use an agent to ship the products abroad all of which adds not only extra costs which I would have to pass on. The low thresholds for this have gone and appear to be applicable to any business selling into Europe.
These new regulations would include VAT at your national rate - around 20% - and any customs duty that may be applicable along with any fees.
So I have decided to stop such shipments until I know exactly what the position is and if there is any way around it.
